About
Being trained in theology and religious studies, I am specializing in the study of world Christianity and in the study of religion and gender.
The focus of my research is on the dynamics of gender in contemporary African Christian contexts. My current project is 'A Saint in Times of AIDS: Religion and Masculinity Politics in Postcolonial Zambia', which focuses on the Catholic Church in Zambia.
In 2011, I obtained my Ph.D. from Utrecht University (the Netherlands). Currently I am a Rubicon Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Centre of Gender and Religions Research, School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), London.
